PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: [08/03/2025]

This Privacy Policy explains how BIOTICA BIOSCIENCES LLC (“Biotica,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://biotica-biosciences.com (the “Site”) or contact us.

We are a U.S.-based company. The United States does not have one single nationwide privacy law. Instead, privacy requirements may depend on your state of residence. This Policy is written to provide clear disclosures consistent with common U.S. state privacy requirements (including California), and to describe your choices.

WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO CONTACT US

Controller / Business: BIOTICA BIOSCIENCES LLC

Email: office@biotica-biosciences.com

Privacy requests: office@biotica-biosciences.com (subject line: “Privacy Request”)

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in three main ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from cookies and analytics.

A. Information you provide to us

When you use our contact forms or email us, we may collect:

• Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number (if you provide it)

• Message content: the information you include in your inquiry

We do not intentionally collect health or medical information through our forms. Please do not submit sensitive information (such as health data) through the Site.

B. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our servers may automatically record:

• IP address, browser type, device/operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps

This information is commonly called “server log” data and is used for security and site performance.

C. Cookies and similar technologies (including analytics)

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• operate the Site,

• remember preferences,

• understand how the Site is used (analytics).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain Site features.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information we collect for:

• Providing and maintaining the Site

• Responding to inquiries and providing customer support

• Improving the Site, user experience, and content

• Security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting

• Analytics and performance measurement

• Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms

ANALYTICS (MATOMO)

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik), a web analytics platform, to understand how visitors use the Site. Matomo may place cookies on your device and collect usage data such as pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address. Matomo data is stored on our servers (or on servers we control), and we do not disclose Matomo analytics data to third parties for their independent use.

Where configured, we use IP anonymization before storage.

Opt-out: If an analytics opt-out option is available on our Site (for example, a Matomo opt-out), you may use it to limit Matomo tracking on this browser. You can also manage cookies via your browser settings.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information only as needed for legitimate business purposes, including:

• Service providers (processors) who help us run the Site (e.g., hosting providers, security providers) under contractual confidentiality and use restrictions

• Legal and compliance: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security

• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with appropriate notice where required)

We do not share personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising” as that term is used under California law (CPRA), and we do not engage in targeted advertising based on data collected on this Site.

DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Because retention depends on context, we apply the following criteria:

• The purpose for which we collected the information (e.g., responding to your request)

• The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information

• Legal, accounting, or reporting requirements

• Security and fraud-prevention needs

Recommended operational defaults (edit to match your actual settings):

• Server logs: retained for up to [30] days

• Analytics (Matomo): retained for up to [13] months

• Contact form communications: retained for up to [24] months, then deleted or anonymized unless needed for legal or security reasons

SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (U.S. STATE NOTICE)

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights such as:

• Right to access/know: request confirmation and access to personal information we maintain about you

• Right to delete: request deletion of certain personal information

• Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information

• Right to obtain a copy (portability): request a portable copy where required by law

• Right to opt out: opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or certain profiling (note: we do not sell personal information and do not use this Site for targeted advertising)

• Right to non-discrimination: you will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

How to exercise your rights:

Email office@biotica-biosciences.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and confirm your state of residence before processing certain requests.

Authorized agents (California):

California residents may use an authorized agent to submit requests, subject to verification requirements.

Timing:

We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) and universal opt-out signals:

If your browser transmits a recognized universal opt-out signal (such as Global Privacy Control), we will treat it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising where applicable. Because we do not sell or share personal information and do not use this Site for targeted advertising, honoring such a signal generally does not change our practices, but we will respect it as applicable.
